New Hampshire's GOP Gov. Chris Sununu avoided answering whether he'd support Trump running in 2024

Chris Sununu dodged the question if he would back a Donald Trump run.

Jake Tapper asked if he would support Trump if he decided to run again, after Biden lost the presidential election to Trump.
"Not even looking at 24," Sununu said. I'm a big believer that if you spent all your time thinking about what happened in 2020 and what happened in 2024, we're not going to be able to compete in 2022. You have to inspire new people to want to run for everything from governor to the town planning board.

The Recount is on December 19, 2021.

"You want people that believe in local control, that believe in contributing, and not even thinking about'24'," Sununu said. If we do that, you're missing the boat, whether you're Democrat or Republican.

Trump has teased a potential presidential campaign in the future. During an interview with Fox News in November, Trump said he is considering a run and may wait until after the 2020 election to make a decision.
"I'm thinking about it, and I think a lot of people will be very happy with the decision," Trump said.

Sununu indicated that he's concentrating on managing the issues in his state, which is causing hospitals to become overwhelmed, leading officials to tap on National Guard members for assistance.
I have hospitals that are full. Sununu said that they were managing this kind of stuff every day. I don't want to say I don't care about'24', but the furthest thing down on the priority list.
