TikTok is partnering with Virtual Dining Concepts to launch a delivery-only service that will cook up some of the trendiest recipes on the app, first reported by Bloomberg. According to a report, TikTok and VDC will open around 300 locations in the US, but plan on expanding to 1,000 by the end of the year.

VDC co- founder Robert Earl owns Buca di Beppo and other restaurants. Unlike some companies in this niche, VDC's kitchens don't appear to operate out of satellite, trailer-converted kitchens in parking lots. TikTok kitchens will use a restaurant's existing kitchen and employees but will provide the training, food packaging, and TikTok-sourced recipes.

The menu will include the smash burger, baked feta pasta, and corn ribs.

The menu will be changed quarterly to keep it fresh. The menu will include air- fried strips of corn known as corn ribs, as well as the smash burger, which was the most-searched recipe on the internet in 2021. The creators of the recipes on the menu will receive a portion of the proceeds.

The creators will be credited for dishes within the menu and will be featured prominently throughout the promotion, according to Elena Saavedra. This is not a venture into the restaurant business, but a campaign to bring TikTok foods to fans.

MrBeast Burger, a virtual kitchen that was launched at the end of 2020 by the popular YouTuber, MrBeast, has already seen success. MrBeast sold one million burgers in three months, and there are now 1,500 kitchens in the US, Canada, and the UK.
