You can watch the whole thing live on Sunday, when a Japanese billionaire and two colleagues return to Earth from the International Space Station.

A Russian spaceship carrying Yusaku Maezawa, Yozo Hirano, and Alexander Misurkin is scheduled to land in the middle of the night on Sunday. The time is 0318GMT on December 20.

9 p.m. NASA TV coverage begins for deorbit and landing. There is a landing scheduled for 10:00 p.m. The time is Dec. 20.

The crew will return from the space station after nearly 12 days. Their mission was Misurkin's third spaceflight and the first for both Maezawa and Hirano, who organized their trip via the Virginia company Space Adventures. Both of their seats were paid for by Maezawa.

Since 2009, Space Adventures has organized a mission to the International Space Station. The company helped send seven customers on eight trips to the lab. One person flew.

The International Space Station was launched by Yusaku Maezawa, Alexander Misurkin, and Yozo Hirano. They will return to Earth late in the year. The image is from the CPK/Roscosmos.

Maezawa plans to make a trip to the moon. The mission is expected to launch in 2023.
