The Indianapolis Colts will receive a first-round pick from the Philadelphia Eagles as a result of the trade of Carson Wentz.
If the Eagles play at least 75 percent of their offensive snaps, the Colts will give them a third-round pick in 2021. Even if he misses the final three games of the season, Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk noted that he will surpass that mark.
Through 14 games this year, the 28-year-old has played 98.6 percent of the snaps for Indianapolis, missing just 22 of 928 offensive plays.
Hitting these numbers was not a guarantee. The former Eagles quarterback played in just one 16-game season in the past four years.
He played 71.6% of offensive snaps for Philadelphia last season, when he was benched for Jalen Hurts.
The quarterback has never missed a game for Indianapolis despite having foot surgery and being injured in Week 2. The quarterback has 23 touchdown passes and six picks this season, and the Colts are still in the playoff race with an 8/6 record.
Philadelphia will look to add more talent around Hurts in the off-season.
The squad will have three first-round picks, including their own selection, and one pick acquired from the Miami Dolphins as the team traded up to select Jaylen Waddle.
The Eagles are projected to pick 10th, 11th and 23rd in the first round.
