It looks like a regular burrito joint.

The new Digital Kitchen restaurant will only accept online orders, and will be located in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, about 40 miles south of Cleveland.

Customers who are hungry should not knock on the window expecting to get their order taken.

The prototype location will have a drive-through, some outdoor seats and tables for eating, and a walk-up window. Customers who are hungry should not knock on the pickup window. Order online or on the app and then check out at the window or drive-through.

Imagine asking the worker at the window of the restaurant if you could get a few drips of the sauce.

About 10 percent of all burrito destinations are drive-through locations, which is why there are about 300 of them. If the prototype digital kitchen store is a success, we can expect to see fewer dining rooms with soda stations, and the end of the smoked Tabasco sauce application.

Customers trying to take orders at the window might be turned away, only to order online. If the restaurant looks like a burrito joint, people will be confused. The company seems to be borrowing a bit of the idea of being a ghost kitchen, which could be beneficial for the company to visually differentiate its digital kitchen more.

Ghost kitchens, an online-only virtual restaurant that has no customer-facing location, has gained in popularity. Restaurants that need another source of revenue during the Pandemic have had ghost kitchens like MrBeast Burger. kitchens run out of shipping containers and parking lots as a result of the concept. A ghost kitchen is only going to invite online delivery orders with no customers trying to knock on doors.

Only one of the seven locations in the New Jersey area has a drive-through.

Jack in the Box, Del Taco, and Taco Bell are just some of the new restaurants that have recently opened. More people are ordering food online, using delivery services, and hitting the drive-thrus in an effort to practice social distancing. One easy way to accommodate this is to take over buildings that already have a drive-in.

The Carl's Jr. restaurant in North Bergen, New Jersey is no longer open.

Look around on Apple Maps.

The location I found in North Bergen used to be a Carl's Jr., but now it's a Chipotlane. The new restaurants with Chipotlanes will probably continue to do this until they can output beans and Guaacappa nearly as fast as the other restaurants.

There are four drive-through lanes at "Taco Bell Defy" and three for delivery services. There are online orders.

In August of this year, the fast-food chain announced that it would be opening a location in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota that was only a four-lane drive-through. The new locations will have an upper-level kitchen that will send digital orders down via a lift. Three of the four lanes are dedicated to delivery services, while the other two are shared by both DoorDash and regular customers.
