The Bulls have been cleared by the NBA to return to practice on Saturday, marking the first time in a week the team will gather for a group activity.
The Chicago Bulls have not played since last Saturday night against the Miami Heat because of a teamwide COVID-19 outbreak. The NBA postponed the Bulls' two games this week, but they will play the Lakers on Sunday in Chicago.
Since the team's hiatus, a few Bulls players have been cleared from health and safety protocols.
The team said that DeMar was out of the protocols on Friday. Coby White and Javonte Green are coming into the team's facility for individual workouts this week after moving past their isolation periods.
The Bulls wanted to give their players practice time before they start games again, especially for those who were limited during the league mandated 10-day isolation period after entering the protocols.
Bulls coach Billy Donovan told reporters on Zoom that the team is dealing with a conditioning factor. We've had someone in health and safety protocol every day for the last 12 days and two weeks. Our team has changed.
Stanley Johnson, who signed a 10-day contract via hardship exception, is one of seven players in the protocols. Chicago will still be without many of their players.
