Blood Origin, the elven-focused mini-series for its adaptation of Anderzej Sapkowski's, is only available on the final episode of The Witcher's second season. The creation of the first Witcher is set in the Conjunction of the Spheres, the time when the worlds of elves, men, and monsters merged into a single realm. Sophia Brown plays ile, an elven warrior turned nomadic musician, in the new series.
The footage focuses on Brown's ile as she connects with two other elven companions, one of which is the beloved actress as Scian. There are shots of ile, Fjall, andScian traversing vast, barren landscapes littered with fires and cairns, traveling with small bands of fellow elves, and also training each other for battles to come in the film. The trio defend some kind of ruin from a force of heavily armored soldiers, as they carve a path through their foes with swords and shields.
It is not all doom and gloom. There are a few shots of a female elf in courtly regalia and heavy make up, as well as an elven mage carrying the staff that forms in the footage. The trailer ends with a shot of ile,Scian, and Fjall preparing for battle against an unseen foe, now joined by three more elves.
There was no release date for Blood Origin beyond a window in which it will be released in 2022, but there were a few images of maps and props from the series, which can be seen above.
