The issue that had left those with the phones unable to use the apps they had downloaded from the Appstore has been addressed by Amazon. A fix for an issue impacting app launches for Amazon Appstore customers that have upgraded to Android 12 on their mobile devices was released on Friday, according to a company spokesman. We are contacting customers to update their experience. We are sorry for the disruption this has caused.

There were reports of applications not working on the Appstore in late October. Those with devices like the Google Pixel 6 and the Samsung S21 were unable to run any of the software they had downloaded from the Appstore. There were no apps in the marketplace. It took about a month for Amazon to acknowledge the issue. The company didn't say what caused the problem. There was speculation that it was due to an incompatibility between the two.
