Donald Parham Jr., a tight end for the Los Angeles Clippers, will be released from the hospital later Friday after being diagnosed with a concussion.

Parham was taken to the hospital on a stretcher after he slammed his head on the ground while trying to catch a pass. Parham was alert and resting comfortably at the hospital, according to the Chargers.

The tough side of pro sports is what Brandon Staley said after the loss. It impacts you when you see that live. We're trying to play for him the rest of the way, and that's what our guys did tonight. They played a whale of a game for him after laying it on the line.

In his second year with Los Angeles, Parham dropped a 5-yard pass from Herbert in the back of the end zone on fourth-and-goal. His eyes were closed and his mouth was open.

Parham's left arm was frozen in a bent position as a teammate tried to move it. Trainers and medical personnel put Parham on a backboard after removing his face mask. The player's arms were shaking as he was taken off the field.
