The men's basketball game between UCLA and North Carolina in Las Vegas has been canceled because of issues within the Bruins' program.

The Tar Heels and the Cats will play in Las Vegas on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena, after Ohio State and Kentucky dropped out of the CBS Sports Classic. The time is 3:20.

Two of the three winningest college basketball programs of all time will play each other. The two teams last met in December of 2020. The Tar Heels lead the overall series 22-16, despite the fact that they've split their last six head-to-head battles.

UCLA was forced to cancel its game against Alabama State on Wednesday because of issues with the COVID system, hours after it was announced that Mick Cronin wouldn't be able to coach because of protocols. The status of upcoming games is not known. Their next two games are against Cal Poly and Arizona.

The cancellation of Ohio State's game against Kentucky was due to COVID-19 issues. It's not clear if the game against Tennessee-Martin will be played.
