This isn’t that hard, Fox

If you can believe it, Fox has had NFL games for 28 years. I was surprised to find out that the renown actress of stage and screen is still alive, but it works for this, since they killed Lansbury with the news they had grabbed the NFC package from CBS. You would think they have covered a serious injury in that time. It is possible to convey the graveness of the situation while also showing respect. Doesn't seem like that message has been received.

When Christian Eriksen collapsed on the field this past summer, the world feed took minutes to figure out it should stop showing the angles of him getting cardiopulmonary help. As she came to the field to find out what was going on, it didn't stop showing the distraught girlfriend of Eriksen.

Fox did a better job than this. Donald Parham Jr. fell to the turf and hit his head, and it was obvious that something was seriously wrong. We have watched enough football to know that concussion arms are thefencing response. The Fox cameraman ran to get an angle from directly on top of Parham, and got a close-up of his unconscious face. And for what? What is a shock value?

I would like to know if anyone in Parham's family or close to him would think of that. This isn't a debate about what we can and can't show in the paper the next day after a tragedy like a school shooting, to really fill people in on the horror of something far too many dismiss too quickly. We all know the toll football can take, we know what concussions look like, and weTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkia This was exploitative.

It certainly wasn't helped by Joe Buck, who first said that they wouldn't speculate on Parham's injury, and then speculated that the terrifying sight of Parham's arms still shaking minutes after his initial injury was due to it. How stupid does Buck think we are?
