Bradford City: League Two club receive offer from US cryptocurrency investors WAGMI United

In League Two, Bradford City are 14th and have not won in their past 10 games.

The chairman of the club said that a group of US investors had made an offer to buy the club.

The Washington Post reported that Wami United was in the "advanced stages" of buying an English Football League club.

It wants to use non-fungible token as a new model of ownership.

"Despite various reports claiming a change of ownership is imminent, I can confirm that is not the case," he said.

I received an email from a representative of the WAGMI United group with an offer to purchase the club.

"That is all I have received, nothing more, and no further action has taken place."

Why are some NFTs worth millions?

NFTs are "one-of-a-kind" digital assets that can be bought and sold like any other piece of property, but with no tangible form of their own.

The digital token can be used as a proof of ownership.

According to the Washington Post, the group wants to make NFTs a cornerstone of the organization's plan to build a vibrant and financially invested digital community.

According to the Post, the group, which includes NBA side Philadelphia 76ers' team president Daryl Morey, businessman Gary Vaynerchuk and TikTok personality Bryce Hall, planned to use its NFT revenue stream to invest in analytics and "outspend opponents" in pursuit of promotion.

"So we are going to try a bunch of unconventional stuff, but will be pretty much led by the numbers from an analytical perspective," group co-founder Eben Smith told the Post.

Our hope is that it works. If it doesn't, there's not much downside.
