Donald Parham Jr., a tight end for the Los Angeles Clippers, was in stable condition and being evaluated for a head injury at a local hospital after hitting the back of his head on the turf while attempting a catch in the end zone in Thursday night's overtime loss to the Kansas

Parham was attempting to catch a pass from Herbert on fourth-and-goal. Trainers put him in a neck brace and took his helmet off as he remained down for a while.

Parham appeared to be breathing heavily and looked as if he was trying to raise his hands as his teammates and head coach circled around.

He was ruled out for the game and was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for tests and evaluation for a head injury. He is in stable condition, according to the Chargers.

Parham caught 20 passes for 190 yards.
