S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl will no longer include NFTs. The studio deleted an explanation that it initially tried to explain that it would still have NFTs after it was heavily criticized.

The new statement says that they have made a decision to cancel anything related to NFT in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. The interests of our fans and players are our top priority. We are making this game for you to enjoy, no matter what the cost is. We care if you care.

GSC Game World announced Wednesday that it would be partnering with DMarket to sell digital items for the game. One of the NFTs it had planned to offer would have allowed the owner to become a metahuman, which meant they would be turned into an NPC in the game.

Those plans are no longer in existence. The studio deleted its earlier post.
