Jurgen Klopp: I don't see benefit in stopping Premier League, says Liverpool boss

There is no benefit to stopping the league.

The manager of the Reds says he doesn't have a solution to stop the league over rising Covid cases.

Five of the 10 games in the weekend's premier league have been canceled, while three players were forced to pull out of the game.

Some of his players have had boosters.

He said that stopping the league is probably not the right thing.

"So far football has kept it outside with the testing regimes, but this time it is really difficult, the punishments for the boys did really well, but it was hard."

The premier league is resisting the call by Thomas Frank for this weekend's top flight games to be postponed to allow clubs to deal with the outbreak.

Eddie Howe believes that all games should be stopped or at least postponed.

He doesn't think we want half the games played. The league loses something if it becomes disorganized. The integrity of the league needs to be decided.

On Sunday, the Reds will face Spurs in a rearranged game, before facing the Foxes in the Carabao Cup on December 22.

The Reds have two games in three days, while the English Football League has a low vaccination rate, which could cause them to face Shrewsbury in the FA Cup in January.

The club didn't ask for a postponement, but they were without Fabinho, Jones and van Dijk.

He told the Match of the Day that it is unlikely that it will stay with three players and that 13 players can play on the 26th and 28th.

Half of the side that earned a draw at Chelsea on Thursday were missing through injury and illness, and that's according to the man.

"We have to be sure the priority is the health of the people, and football can be an example of that," said the boss.

Tuchel was missing players after four of them tested positive, but he doesn't want to get involved in politics.

He said that they were worried about Covid, but they had four positives. We have to do our best to win it because other games get canceled.

The game was not postponed because of the Covid cases.

I don't know the rules but I prepare my team. At 12 we knew who was ready to play and who was not.

The focus is always on the guys who play. I don't care if the game gets called off or not.
