NFL, NFLPA Agree to Updated COVID-19 Protocols amid Outbreaks

The health and safety protocols of the league have been updated.
In a statement released on Thursday, the NFL said that all teams will implement preventative measures that have proven effective, including wearing masks, no outside visitors for teams traveling, and vaccination status.

Tom Pelissero reported last month that the NFL was going to implement heightened safety protocols after Thanksgiving. The players and team staffers were tested twice in three days.

The announcement comes one day after the NFLPA posted a message on the social networking site calling for the league to implement daily testing for all players.
COVID-19 protocols was a topic of discussion during the winter meetings of the NFL.
Most of the positive results came from fully-vaccinated individuals, as Battista noted that "around 100 players" tested positive in a three-day span from Monday to Wednesday.
Baker Mayfield is one of 14 players placed in COVID-19 protocols by the Cleveland Browns. The head coach and running backs coach tested positive for the virus.

The commissioner of the National Football League said there is no discussion of postponing games. The Las Vegas Raiders are playing the Cleveland Indians on Saturday.
