A copy of Superman #1 from 1939 is currently up for auction and is currently seeing a high bid of over $2 million.

The front page of the book promises 64 pages of colorfully paneled adventure, which is the complete story of one of the daring exploits of the one and only Superman.

Twenty-six people have made bids so far and the highest one is $2,050,000, which will be auctioned off tomorrow morning.

Superman has enjoyed decades of popularity and has been featured in cartoons, serials, movies, television shows and pretty much anything else you can think of, according to the auctioneers. Superman's origin story is a must-read for Man of Steel fans.

The seller's copy was kept in a temperature-controlled safe for 40 years after it was purchased by a collector, and only changed hands twice.

The second highest-graded copy of Superman #1 is the one I brought to market, and it is by far the sweetest copy I have ever brought to market. The interior pages are supple and the cover is rich. There are still undiscovered comics like this.

The comic is valued at more than $700,000.
