Zion will be out for at least a month.

The Pelicans announced on Thursday that they had received abiologic injection into the fractured foot of their player, and that he would have further tests in four to six weeks.
New Orleans said that he will be limited to low impact, partial weight-bearing activities for an extended period as he continues to recover from his foot issues.
Considering his history in the early part of his career, any injury update for him is sure to draw attention. He played 24 games in his first year in the NBA because of health concerns, and his debut in his first season was delayed because of health concerns.

He missed the start of his third season because of a foot injury, but he played in 61 games in 2020-21.

The volume and intensity of his training will be reduced for an extended period to allow for further bone healing after he suffered a setback during his rehabilitation.

The New Orleans Saints made their player a franchise player. He averaged 27.0 points, 7.2 rebound and 3.7 assists per game in his second season, and he shot 61.1% from the field.

Injury concerns have become a defining theme of the career of Williamson, which is worrisome for a franchise that is so dependent on him living up to expectations.
A four-to-six-week timetable means there will be another update on his status in the early part of February.
