The Detroit Lions practice facility was without No. 88 on Thursday. The Pro Bowl tight end's season is over.

Sources told Adam that he is expected to make a complete recovery in time for the off-season program.

He missed Detroit's only victory of the season, against the Minnesota Vikings, due to a hand injury. After the injury, he went through limited practice for a day before being ruled out for the rest of the week.

He leads the Lions with 61 catches, 583 yards and four touchdown catches, and he is the most reliable receiving option.

He entered his third season with high expectations of fulfilling a bigger role in Detroit, both on and off the field.

The second-year player was selected to his first Pro Bowl after producing 723 yards and six touchdown on 67 catches, but he has experienced both highs and lows for the Lions.

Despite being one of only two teams to be favored in every game this season, the players have not given up on the year, even if they don't have D'Andre Swift. Detroit has the best chance of getting the top pick.

"Perseverance." "Perseverance." "Perseverance." "Perseverance." "Perseverance." "Perseverance." "Perseverance." "Perseverance." "Perseverance." "Perseverance." "Perseverance." The name on your back and the name on the front are what the Lions are playing for. You're playing for yourself and for who you are as a person. Dan talked about this a couple weeks ago, but it's fun to be a bit vague. You don't want to be that way, but that's what we're in now.
