In December, the Coen brothers will be releasing The Tragedy of Macbeth, a film that will feature a new take on Shakespeare's plays.
The actor has appeared in a lot of the Bard's work before, including Much Ado About Nothing, and he paid no heed to superstition over saying the word "Macbeth" in a theatre.
On Wednesday, the Late Show host Stephen Colbert asked him about any advice on performing Shakespeare, however, Washington replied, "I would like you to give me some advice."
What about Shakespeare? Colbert replied that he never performed Shakespeare except in an acting class. "Get it on the tongue!"
"But if you say it, as many of your players do," Washington said.
Colbert sawing the air, thusly.
The real treat? The "Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow" speech from Macbeth, which Washington is the best coach for, is worth its weight in eye of newt and toe of frog.
