Mohamed Salah: Liverpool forward closes in on another Premier League record

In the next two years, Mohamed Salah has scored 36 goals.

He is amazing. He is the best player in the world.

The Egypt international could grab yet another record very soon, as he has had a front-row seat to witness the incredible form of forward Mohamed Salah.

If he scores or creates a goal in Thursday's home game against 19th-ranked Newcastle, he will equal Jamie Vardy's record of scoring or creating a goal in 15 consecutive matches.

In 1995 Stan Collymore's run came for Forest and in 1994 Andrew Cole's run came for Newcastle.

Records are not new for the incredible Salah.

In October he became the first player to score in nine successive games, and in the following match he became the highest- scoring African in the history of the league.

These records can be added to a lot of historical achievements.

His 32 goals in the season is the highest in a 38 game season and he is the top scorer in the European competition with 33.

The statistics for goal involvements are great. He had scored eight more goals in the league than Harry Kane, who had 15.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is the only one with more assists. No-one will come close in 2021.

The best calendar-year record in the history of the premier league is currently held by Salah, who is out on his own in 2021.

Kane had an incredible year in which he scored 39 goals and claimed seven assists for a total of 46 goal involvements in only 36 league games.

Kane is followed by Alan Shearer, Robin van Persie, Thierry Henry, and Matt Le Tissier, who all had 44 goal involvements in a calendar year.

The 32 players who have reached 100 goals in the league have the fourth best goals-per-game ratio.

The players who scored 100 goals in the league have been included. Correct at the end of December.

Alan Shearer is the all-time top scorer in the league with 260 goals from 441 appearances, but he is not the all-time top scorer in the league by a long shot.

He had only found the net twice in 13 games in the English top flight after leaving his previous club, Chelsea.

Since returning to English football in June of last year, he has helped the Reds win five titles, including the premier league and the world club cup.

This season could be the best yet for the team. He has scored 14 goals in 16 games in the premier league and seven in six in the group stage.

He has responded to critics who have called him selfish in the past, and he has nine assists in thePremier League in the upcoming season, only one short of his best.

What records could he get in the rest of the season?

He could become the all-time leading scorer for the club.

The current record holder is Robbie Fowler, who has 128 league goals in 266 games for the Reds.

The Egyptian has a long way to go to get to the number of goals that he managed at Manchester City, but his next goal will take him clear of Ryan Giggs in the overall list of goals for one club.

It will not be long before he gets into the top 20 in the number of goals scored in the premier league.

In September, we published a video to show how far Egypt's talismanic forward has come in the league.
