Hulu's Theranos miniseries 'The Dropout' premieres March 3rd

It's called Hulu.

The tale of Theranos and its former CEO ElizabethHolmes is getting multiple adaptions. Bad Blood, which was just snapped up by Apple, will likely get the most attention. Adam McKay's recent films, Vice and The Big Short, will get plenty of Oscar love. The Dropout is a mini-series on Hulu. The series will premiere on March 3rd, 2022, and will now feature actress, actress, and singer, Amanda Seyfried.

The first round of pictures show that Seyfried captures the wide-eyed magnetism of the character. It's surprising to see the great Naveen Andrews as the man who was the former COO of Theranos. An unbelievable tale of ambition and fame gone terribly wrong will be the subject of the series. How did the world's youngest self-made female billionaire lose it all?

Theranos raised $700 million from investors due to its device, the Edison. The machine was supposed to test for a wide range of illnesses. It was a lie. The company's technology never actually worked according to reports from the Wall Street Journal. The SEC charged Theranos with " massive fraud."
The Inventor did a good job of covering the drama around Theranos and the unusual mystique of the man. There's more to cover in a dramatic adaptation.
