The works of Van Gogh and Monet have been brought to life in digital displays across the United States. If you haven't seen them in person, you've most likely seen them on social media. Massimiliano Siccardi, the man behind the crowd-pleasing Immersive Van Gogh shows, is set to give a digital treatment to the work of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
The first show will be in February of 2022.
The experience takes visitors on a journey through the Mexican artist's work, with digital displays of signature pieces including The Two Fridas, The Wounded Deer and Diego and I.
The trend of immersive art exhibitions is universal. In Europe, Asia and Australia, similar shows have attracted sold-out audiences, and continue to draw crowds in the US and Canada. There were multiple Van Gogh exhibitions in the US in 2021, all with the same names, displays and prices, which caused confusion among ticket-holders.
There's an exhibition about the work of both Diego Rivera and his wife, the Mexican artist, called Mexican Geniuses, which will be in Washington, D.C. in the year 2022.
In February, the Frida: Immersive Dream experience will begin in Boston, Chicago, Houston, Denver, Los Angeles and Dallas, with another stop in Toronto, Canada. The exact locations have yet to be announced but tickets are already available. For more information about the film, see Frida: Immersive Dream.
