Remains of Former O'Jays Guitarist Frank Little Found After 40 Years

The human remains found in a garbage bag in the 80s have been identified as Frank "Frankie" Little Jr., the guitarist and writer for the O'Jays.

The bag was found behind a business in 1982. They could tell the person had been stabbed to death, but they were not able to identify him.

It was only 2 months ago that a breakthrough came thanks to the use of DNA technology. The names of potential living relatives were provided by the DNA Doe Project.

Police say that a close relative gave a sample of their saliva, which was analyzed by a crime lab, and it was positive. Frank's identity was confirmed.

Frank wrote several songs for the O'Jays, including "Oh How You Hurt Me."

After his tenure, the group scored its biggest hits, including "For the Love of Money" and "Love Train."

He joined the U.S. Army, served 2 years in Vietnam and then went back to his hometown of Cleveland.

Frank disappeared in the 70s, but now that his remains have been identified, authorities plan to investigate his death as a homicide. The hope is that they will be able to fill in some blanks for his family.
