Millennials and Gen Z are planning to spend thousands on cryptocurrency, NFTs and metaverse land as holiday gifts

The next generation of investors is at the forefront of interest in digital assets.

The value of the market briefly surpassed $3 trillion in November, with top coins like ether hitting all-time highs. NFTs, like other digital assets, soared in value. In November, OpenSea had $10 billion in total volume.

Digital plots of land in the metaverse, like art, music, and in-game assets, saw a huge increase in demand.

Young investors are spending a lot of money on digital assets as gifts during the holiday season. Five people are planning to buy something.

Cynthia plans to give an NFT of a digital land lot to her sister and parents. Depending on factors like demand and size, it could cost thousands of dollars.

The San Antonio resident believes that NFTs will appreciate over time. She says she doesn't have a budget. It doesn't feel like I'm spending money, I'm just storing my money in a different asset.

For her mom and sister, she plans to buy collectible NFTs from projects that aim to empower women. Each collection has a floor price, which is the lowest price available, though she is unsure how much she will spend.

The World of Women collection has a current floor price of $1.95 ether, or $7,275. The floor price of 0.19 ether is the price of the 9,999 witches in the Crypto Coven collection.

She plans to buy NFTs from artists like Lana Denina, whose popular project has a floor price of 0.24 ether.

For her dad, she plans to get a hardware wallet from a project with a cool, interesting roadmap. She wants to pay for an online course on blockchain coding for him, because he likes gifts that can expand his expertise.

Imani plans to buy everyone in her family NFTs for Christmas. She is budgeting at least 2.5 ether for the entire year.

The 19-year-old thinks that sending digital gifts will be the norm in the future. I wish this was a thing a long time ago. It saves time and is cooler.

Imani says that her mom is based in San Antonio and plans to buy a World of Women NFT. My mom sold hers for me to attend college. I would like to return the favor.

San Francisco-based Anisha Sunkerneni is looking forward to giving her friends and family their first digital assets, including the ENS domain and NFTs.

An ENS domain has the potential to be tied to your on-chain personality and profile, even more than NFTs. It's pretty special to get the ones you want.

The ENS created a domain for the ethereum block that represents an investor's address. The random string of letters and numbers that typically signifies your wallet is not what appears in an ENS domain name.

The prices for ENS domains can vary. A five-character character costs $5 in ether per year, a four-character character costs $160 in ether per year, and a three-character character costs $640 in ether per year. The smaller number of characters makes ENS domain names more expensive.

Sunkerneni got into the space just this year, but she wants to bring those she cares about into the fold. Giving NFTs as gifts sounded like a natural option.

Allison Reichel is going to give her family and friends the equivalent amount she would spend on gifts or gift cards, but only if they are interested in receiving it.

The young man says that he believes that digital assets are valuable and represent many elements of both free markets and free choice.

Reichel is based in Austin, Texas, and he plans to give a mix of three things. It is possible to buy fractional units called satoshis, which are smaller than the actual amount of bitcoin. The price of ether is $3,731 and the price of SOL is $169.

Reichel likes to stick with assets that he believes will be around for a while and hold their value.

Cooper Turley plans to spend about $10,000 on gifts. The young man is excited to gift ENS domains as a way to welcome them into Web3 which is the decentralization of the internet that powers applications like NFTs.

I have bought a few music NFTs and have been shopping on Nifty Gateway for old NFTs from prominent creators that could make good gifts.

Cooper Turley will spend about $10,000 on NFTs as holiday gifts.
