Sources told Field Yates, Kimberley Martin, and Adam Schefter that the Cleveland quarterback tested positive for a drug that could affect his availability for Saturday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The head coach of the Browns tested positive for the virus. If they don't turn in their negative tests by Saturday, they will both miss the game against Las Vegas.

Mike Priefer will be Cleveland's acting head coach if there are no negative tests in time.

The team said that the head-coaching duties will be done virtually by the 39-year-old. He said that he had received the booster before he got the vaccine.

Ryan Cordell tested positive.

Four of the eight players placed on the reserve list are offensive players, including five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver and five-time Pro Bowl offensive guard Jarvis Landry.

Also placed on the list were defensive end Takk McKinley, punt returner Natson, backup guard Drew Forbes, and reserve tight end Ross Travis.

The eight players can return to the team after producing two negative tests in 24 hours because they are all vaccine-vaccinated, according to a source.

Cleveland's first playoff appearance in 18 years was preceded by a positive test for COVID-19 by Stefanski. He stayed home and watched the game from his basement.
