The man breaks down announcing his retirement.

Barcelona'sSergio Aguero is emotional in a press conference announcing his retirement. It was 1:44.

The sun is setting at 6:22 AM.

The 33 year old Barcelona forward has decided to retire from football due to a heart condition.

He hasn't played since the end of October, when he was taken off during the first half of Barcelona's draw with Alaves because of chest pain.

The great legacy of Aguero is more than just his goal.

Barcelona said that the discomfort was caused by an arrhythmia and that it would require treatment for three months.

The former Manchester City forward has had regular cardiac exams to monitor his health, with the results advising him it would be a risk to continue with his professional career.

At a news conference on Wednesday, he announced his retirement.

The conference is to announce that I have decided to stop playing professional football. It is a difficult time. The problem I had a month and a half ago was the reason I took the decision I did.

The medical staff has been good to me. I made the decision 10 days ago after doing everything I could to prolong my life. I'm proud of my career. The first time I touched a ball I wanted to be a professional.

The medical advice forced the retired from football.

I want to thank both Manchester City and Atletico Madrid for giving me a chance, and for the way they treated me.

The director of football and City manager were at Camp Nou. The entire first team of Barcelona and representatives from his former clubs were present.

"Sergio, I think, as we just saw, we are left with deep joy and excitement with what you could have been here at Barcelona, but anything you need with your condition we are here at your disposal," Laporta said.

You will be remembered as a friend, not just as a player. I am sure that the new journey will be successful. You deserve it.

I feel fine right now. The first two weeks were difficult. The medical staff told me there was a chance I wouldn't be able to continue playing after the first physical test.

I am still working on it. They called me to tell me it was true. I am okay, but I know it was difficult.

In the summer, he joined Barcelona on a free transfer from City. His debut was delayed due to a calf injury, but he scored in the Clasico defeat to Real Madrid.

It was an honor to compete against a player like you, one of the best players in the world. Good luck to you and your family.

In his second start for his new club, Aguero experienced breathing problems and was forced to leave the game.

Independiente was where Aguero burst onto the scene as a teenager. He joined City in a deal worth around 40 million, after scoring over 100 goals in five years in Spain.

In Manchester, on the final day of the 2011-12 season, Aguero scored the winner against Queens Park Rangers to help City win their first title.

He won 15 trophies in England, including five league titles, and is the City's all-time leading goal scorer with 260 goals.

The club announced recently that he would be honoured with a statue outside the stadium, along with David Silva andVincent Kompany.

He was part of the squad that won the Copa America last summer and was a runner-up at the World Cup in 2014, as well as winning 101 caps for Argentina.

The goal for Independiente against Racing was one of the best that I ever scored, according to Aguero. The goal I scored to win the first league for City was a beautiful moment, and winning the Europa League with Atleti was a really happy moment.

The last was the Copa America. It was something we had been looking for for a long time, and I only played two or three matches.

I will take my last goal against Madrid. Is it bad for a last goal?
