Santa Claus is a new voice for Amazon's virtual assistant, called AmazonAlexa. After enabling the skill with the command, you can ask St. Nick to sing songs, crack jokes, tell stories, or just respond to typical Alexa commands like setting timers or playing music in his more festive voice. The feature appears to have been released earlier this month, judging by the customer reviews left on the skill's Amazon page.

There are many questions to ask Santa. Asking Santa if you are naughty or nice will prompt a number of questions, and the big man will happily tell you about his reindeer or favorite food. The new voice will respond to the command with "Hey Santa".

'Hey Santa' can be enabled byAlexa.

I was surprised by how many commands the Santa voice could handle. When asked, it will happily recite Pi to over a dozen decimal places, and can also play music from Spotify. Santa will happily flip a virtual coin but he won't roll a virtual dice, but it's easy to repeat a command for Amazon's voice assistant.

Amazon has re-skinned the voice of its voice assistant, and has drawn upon celebrities like Samuel L. Jackson, as well as others. Santa has appeared in a limited capacity before. The Santa skill is free of charge. Say "Alexa, enable "Hey Santa" to get started.
