Barclays to invest £30m in Women's Super League, Championship and grassroots



The FA Women's Super League title sponsorship was taken over by Barclays in 2019.

The FA Women's Super League sponsorship and the FA Women's Championship sponsorship will be extended by Barclays.

It will sponsor the Women's Championship for the first time.

Football will be offered to girls in more schools thanks to the increased grassroots investment by the company.

The FA didn't say how the investment would be divided between the women's top tier in England, the Championship and the grassroots game.

Kelly Simmons, the Football Association's director of women's professional game, said that it was great news thatBarclays was committing to a new record investment in the women's and girls' game.

The increase in investment follows the announcement of a three-year broadcast deal with the BBC, which will see the WSL on network free-to-air television for the first time.
