According to an internal memo obtained by CNBC, if employees don't follow the company's vaccine rules, they could be put on forced leave and let go. The policy will affect employees that were covered by the vaccine mandate, which is currently facing challenges in the Senate and court system.

According to the memo, the employees were given until December 3rd to submit proof of vaccination or get approval for a medical or religious exemption. The company will place anyone who doesn't do either of those things by January 13th on paid administrative leave. If they are still not in compliance after 30 days, they could be terminated for up to six months.

The policy is not being denied by Google. Lora Lee Erickson is a spokeswoman for the company.

One of the most important ways we can keep our workforce safe and keep our services running is through our vaccination requirements. We will do everything we can to help our employees who can get vaccine, and we will stand behind our policy.

Anyone returning to the office will have to be vaccine free.

While the company expects the president to apply to mostly everyone, employees can look for positions that aren't covered by it, and there may be some options for unvaccinated employees. They would have to be able to do the job remotely if they found one. According to a report, employees in the office are required to be vaccinations. There is a chance to request an exemption.

The company doesn't know when employees will have to come back to the office, but it does expect most of them to work in person. CNBC says that even remote workers will need to bevaccinated if they fall under the mandate.

During a company all-hands meeting, executives asked whether the company would raise wages to match inflation, and the company said it didn't plan to do so. CNBC reported last month that an anti-vaccine mandate manifesto was shared by hundreds of employees.
