A new Chase Ink card is about to launch. The Chase Ink cards are some of the best cards out there and everyone was excited. The Chase Ink Business Cash is the best no fee card on the market and one of the biggest welcome offers available. A Chase Ink Business premier could be better than all of them. I mean it has a name that is named after it. The card was available to business bankers in branch today and the info does not look great in my opinion. The World of Hyatt Business card was the second highly anticipated dud from the Chase business team. I will give you my thoughts on the Chase Ink Business premier details.
Chase Ink Business Details.
The details of the Chase Ink Business premier are here.
The annual fee is a welcome offer.
The type of card is business.
Chase is the card issuer.
If you have opened more than 5 credit cards in the last 24 months, no more than 2 credit cards in 30 days from Chase, you can't open this card.
The spending requirements are for 3 months.
100,000 points are worth $1,000.
The annual fee is $195.
The card should be online in early 2022. It is rumored that it could be released on Friday.
There is a structure for earning.
2% back on every purchase.
Every purchase of $5,000 or more has 2.5% back.
5% back on travel purchases through Chase Ultimate rewards.
The card details are different.
The Chase Ink Business premier is a charge card, not a credit card. It must be paid in full every month. The Amex Platinum and Amex Gold will offer a Payment Flex option.
I am not a Chase Business fan.
The Chase Ink Business Preferred has the lowest annual fee of any of the Ink cards. It has the highest fee, but has the least amount of perks. The Ink premier doesn't have valuable Ultimate rewards. It's a cash back card. You can redeem points for travel through the portal and on gift cards, but you will get the same 1 cent per point as cashing out. There is no reason to use either option. Simply use your points to book the travel or buy gift cards with another credit card and you will earn more points on the purchase.
It is the only Chase branded product that has an annual fee. You can combine points with an annual fee card like the Chase Freedom Flex or the Chase Ink Business Cash. That is not an option with this card.
If you have a lot of purchases, you could earn 2.5% back on your Capital One card. How many people fit into that hole?
The Chase Ink Business is final.
I don't know who the target market is for this card. The break even point for Ultimate rewards is 1.5 cents per point, so you would have to spend $39,000 every year to get there.
Chase has been trying new things with the Aeroplan Card. Maybe this is more of a test to see if they can break into other areas. It would be different if it earned Ultimate rewards.
It's a TPG.
