Clemson football fills offensive, defensive coordinator roles by promoting Brandon Streeter, Wes Goodwin

In order to fill his defensive and offensive positions, coach Dabo Swinney is promoting from within.

The senior defensive assistant, Wes Goodwin, would be moving to the defensive coordinator's role, and the safeties coach, Mickey Conn, would be taking on a co-defensive coordinators's role. The Oklahoma head-coaching job has necessitated the replacement of Brent Venables, who was the primary play caller on the defense.

Brandon Streeter is being promoted to offensive coordinator. He takes over from Tony Elliott, who took the Virginia head-coaching job. Kyle Richardson is moving into an on-field role as a tight ends coach.

He will make $850,000 annually with the three-year deal. Conn will make $800,000 a year. This will be the first on-field coaching assignment for Goodwin. He worked as an analyst at the college and also worked in the NFL with Bruce Arians.

Streeter has a three-year deal and will make $925,000 annually. Richardson will make $500,000 a year.
