Disney and Port Everglades will work together for 15 years. There are three 5-year options that could be used to extend the agreement. The Disney Cruise Line.

Disney Cruise Line will base two ships in Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades, with one vessel sailing year-round starting in fall 2023 and a second seasonal ship joining in 2025.

The minimum number of passenger movements required by Disney and the commission is over 10 million. There are three 5-year options that could add more than 10 million.
Travel Weekly reported in July that Disney Cruise Line was in discussions with the port of Fort Lauderdale to base a ship year-round.

Disney said that it has a foothold in the market with one of the nation's fastest-growing airports, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

"Disney will bring a lot of business to the county," said the mayor. Disney Cruise Line is an excellent fit for our inclusive, family-friendly destination.

Disney has a custom-designed terminal at Port Canaveral, a cruise port that is a gateway to Disney World. The Disney Wish will sail from Port Canaveral.
