The Voice Plan is just one of the things Apple's latest software brings to the table.
The company behind the iPhone released its latest operating system on Monday, and it's a doozy. Privacy and security fixes are included in the update, and you should download it.
Unless you have a pre-2015 Apple phone, this message is very much for you.
What is the latest version of the fix? Here's a partial list.
A malicious audio file may lead to code execution.
A user in a call may accidentally leak sensitive user information.
A malicious image may lead to arbitrary code execution.
A malicious application may be able to execute arbitrary code.
"Processing a malicious file may reveal user information"
A person with physical access to a device may be able to see contacts.
A person with physical access to a device may be able to access passwords.
A malicious application may be able to get around Privacy preferences.
An application may be able to access a user's files.
It's a good thing that Apple has disclosed these vulnerabilities and issued patches for them. There are problems with any operating system, whether it be from Apple or anyone else. The real question is whether or not those problems are resolved quickly.
You can do your part and update today. To do so.
Go to the settings on your phone.
The Tap General.
Go into the software update.
You can download and install.
Hit Done if you enter your password.
Agree to Apple's terms.
As you relax, your phone will download the latest version of the app, iOS 15.2.
It's not as flashy as getting an upgrade to an Apple device, but the security updates in iOS 15.2 are more important and won't cost you a dime.
