Bueckers had surgery on Monday to repair her injuries. She is expected to return in eight weeks, which would make her available in early February.
Bueckers was injured during the final minute of the Notre Dame game. At the time of her injury, Bueckers led the team in points, assists, and steals.
Geno Auriemma acknowledged the possibility of surgery after the victory over UCLA.
The University of Connecticut is 2-0 without Bueckers. Georgia Tech beat the Huskies 57-44 on December 9, snapping a 239-game winning streak against unranked opponents.
