Omicron So Far Isn’t Persuading Most U.S. Adults To Get Vaccinated Or Booster Shot, Poll Finds

A new poll shows that the omicron variant has no effect on a majority of US adults willingness to get the Covid-19 vaccine or a booster shot.

The poll found that most unvaccinated people don't think the omicron variant makes a difference in their decision to get vaccine, while some think it makes them less likely.

Half of the people who haven't yet gotten a booster shot said the omicron doesn't make a difference in their decision, while 34% said it makes them more likely and 5% said it makes them less likely.

When asked what the most important reason is for them to get a booster shot, only 5% of vaccine respondents cited their worry about the omicron variant, while 40% said they would get or had gotten the booster because it makes Covid-19 less likely.

9% of vaccine respondents said they wouldn't get a booster shot.
