Khris Middleton left Monday's game against the Boston Celtics because of a left knee injury.
After the game, Milwaukee coach Mike Budenholzer told reporters that there were positive indications and that the initial belief was that it wouldn't be a serious injury.
"We'll know more tomorrow, but I think there's some hope that it's not serious," Budenholzer said, per Tim Bontemps. You have to weigh it and give it time.
In 24 minutes, he had four points (2-of-8 shooting) and eight rebound.
The regular season was strong in 2020-21. He shot 41.4 percent from three-point range and averaged 20.4 points, 6.0 rebound and 5.4 assists.
He was the second scoring option behind Antetokounmpo, so the question was whether the team could win a title.
During the championship run, he put up 23.6 points per game. He had seven double-doubles to help the team get to the NBA Finals.
After last summer's triumph, a roster change was not necessary in the off season. They are a top contender to win the Eastern Conference again.
In the regular season, Milwaukee is strong enough to deal with the absence of Middleton. If the availability of the 30-year-old is jeopardized, it will pose a problem.
