According to analyst Jeff Pu, Apple is planning to release four new models in September of 2022, including a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The two Pro models will have a triple-lens rear camera system with an upgraded 48-megapixel Wide lens and 12-megapixel Ultra Wide and Telephoto lens, according to a research note obtained by MacRumors. This is in line with information shared by an analyst who claimed in April that the 48-megapixel lens would support 8K video recording.
The 8GB of RAM is expected for the iPhone 14 Pro models, up from 6GB for the 13 Pro models. Pu's claim that all four of the iPhone 14 models will feature 120Hz displays is less likely than this rumor suggests. Ross Young, a display industry analyst, said in September that the standard and Max models of the iPhone will stick with 60Hz displays.
The standard iPhone 14 models will have 64 gigabytes of storage, but the 13 models will have 128 gigabytes of storage.
Pu has a mixed record on rumors of Apple. He said that 16-inch MacBook Pro and iPad Pro models with mini-LED displays would launch in 2021, but he was wrong about the HomePods with 3D cameras.
