Tool Drummer Danny Carey Arrested For Assault at Kansas City Airport



Law enforcement sources tell us that Carey was getting into it with a security guard at the airport. He could be fined up to $13,900 for the incident.

Danny Carey, the drummer for Tool, was arrested for assault at the airport in Kansas City after a fight with someone inside the terminal.

Law enforcement sources tell us that airport police arrested DC after they responded to a report of a fight between 2 men and took him to a police station for booking.

Danny was booked for assault, and as you can see, he didn't look happy in his mug shot. He was released on bond and is no longer in custody.

Cops tell us that the police report is going to be forwarded to prosecutors for review and possible charges will follow.

Danny performed at a college basketball game with the band. As Kansas won, he was very lucky. Things took a turn at the airport.

Danny hails from Kansas, and he's been playing drums for Tool since the band formed in the 1980s in Los Angeles, with many considering him one of the greatest drummers of all time.

Danny is a drummer for smaller acts like Pigmy Love Circus, Zaum, Legend of the Seagullmen and Volto.

Danny's reps didn't comment on his arrest.
