The model who works for DoorDash posted a video on TikTok explaining that they are not legally bound to pick up every order that is requested.
She says that if you don't tip us, we don't have to take your order. When you don't tip, just sit there.
Jhordan moved over to the screen and showed a photo of McDonald's bags in a room that was untouched and lined up, implying thatdashers wouldn't pick up orders since the customers didn't tip.

She says that there is a section dedicated to people who don't tip and their order sits there until a dasher decides that they want to take the order. We are not obligated to take your orders because we are independent contractors.
The video received over 489,900 views and over 22,000 comments, causing quite a debate among customers.
One person said that dashers are not waitresses. You are trying to get their attention. They aren't bidding to service you.
One person wrote that he tipped after the service in a restaurant. I tip before they use their gas, I'm not using mine. I have to stay in the house.
Others were not in agreement.
If I don't tip, I won't get my food, that's why it's mandatory. You might not be saying it. You're definitely implying it.
The concept of being an independent contractor is not an excuse to not perform the service fully, as others said.
DoorDash can grow into its valuation.
You're the boss. DoorDash says that its workers have the flexibility and freedom to drive whenever they want. You can make it full-time, part-time, or once in a while. It's an alternative to seasonal, temporary, and part-time work.
