No Foldable iPhone Expected Until 2023 at the Earliest, But 2024 More Likely

Ross Young, a display analyst, said that Apple is not expected to introduce a foldable iPhone until 2023 at the earliest.

There is still evidence that Apple is working on prototypes of foldable devices, despite the fact that rumors about a foldable iPhone have died down. In September 2020, it was suggested that Apple was looking at foldable display samples from SAMSUNG, and there were also rumors that Apple was working with LUNG DISPLAY.

In May of this year, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple was working on a foldable phone with a flexible display, but he has not commented on the device since then. In January, Apple started work on a foldable iPhone, but did not expand beyond a display, as was reported by the news agency.

Going forward, we believe that foldable phones will become a must-have for all major brands, and at least one brand has definitely been working on refining its foldable phone options. The third iteration of its foldable phone, the GALAXY Z Fold3 was introduced earlier this year.

Three years have passed since the launch of the early version of the foldable phone from the Korean company, but there are still bugs that need to be fixed. If Apple does come out with a foldable device, it will need to compete with a company that has experience with foldable devices.

It would be no surprise to have the foldable iPhone technology delayed until at least 2024, as Apple will need to solve key technology and mass production issues to launch the device by 2023.
