‘What the hell is this?’: Golf course employee shares bizarre tip she got from customer

A man tipped a golf course employee with three ripped $100 bills.

A golf course employee who serves drinks to the golfers has revealed the bizarre tip she received from a man on the course in an effort to convince her to get dinner with him.

In a TikTok uploaded in September, Holland said that the man gave her three $100 bills that were ripped in half, and promised to give her the other half if she showed up for dinner.

Holland, who goes by the namecassholland on TikTok, began the video by explaining that she wanted to know if it had ever happened to anyone else.

The employee of the golf course held up three $100 bills that had been ripped in half and asked what the hell was going on. Three hundred dollars in half.

How did we get here? Holland recalled how the man in question had been buying drinks for himself and his friends and was being really nice.

Holland said she declined the man's invitation to go to dinner with him because he claimed he was from out of town.

The man took out the ripped money after Holland was urged to cancel her plans, and the golf cart driver recalled how he had offered her the money and promised to give her the other half if she met him in front of a casino at 9pm that night.

Holland said in the clip that he already had this idea planned out, before revealing that she had again declined the offer.

Holland noticed that the man had left money in her drink holder when she got back in her cart.

She said that she had this useless $300. $300 down the drain, that nobody can use, because I am not going.

Holland admitted that she doesn't know how to handle the situation after she found out that the golfer lost $300.

She said she didn't know what to do. I wonder if he has ever done this before and it worked, I can understand if you want the other ones.

He probably thinks he is a genius, but he lost $300 for nothing.

Some viewers urged Holland to take the money to the bank after the clip was viewed more than 1.7 million times.

One person said that if it is more than 50 per cent the bank will usually take it, while another said that you should take them to the bank.

Someone else wrote that it happens to them all the time.

One viewer said it happened to him when he was a bartender.

The man in the video was disgusted by his behavior and audacity.

Holland said that the man who gave her the ripped money had shown up at the golf course again, and that the golf course employee claimed that he gave her the rest of the money after admitting that he had seen her TikTok video.

Holland held up the bills that had been taped together and said that he realized what he did wasn't very smart. He decided to give me the other half of the game today.

According to Holland, the man told her that he thought the money was a good use of it and that she should use it to pay her bills.

Holland said that the golfer invited her out again, but that she decided not to.

Holland said that he was going to be accepting the fee as an "inconvenience fee."

The beverage cart employee was praised by viewers for her handling of the situation, with one person writing: "When I tell you my JAW DROPPED." This is a power move.

Holland has been contacted by The Independent.
