After a season-ending injury to JT Daniels in the first game of the season, true freshman Joey Slovis burst onto the scene. Daniels decided to transfer to Georgia because he threw for 3,502 yards with 30 touchdown and nine pick ups.
After his brilliant freshman season, his play deteriorated each year. In nine games in 2021, he threw for 2,152 yards with 11 touchdown and eight interceptions. Because of injuries and performance, true freshman Jaxson Dart saw a lot of playing time.
