Brentford vs Man Utd: Premier League fixture in doubt as visitors shut down facilities amid Covid cases

Manchester United were forced to shut down their training complex due to positive Covid cases and are in discussions with the league about postponing their game away to Brentford on Tuesday evening.

A small number of individuals among the first-team players and staff have returned positive results from the tests.

The Carrington training complex was shut down for 24 hours to make sure there were no more positive cases.

The club is in discussion with the league about the safety of Tuesday's game against Brentford, both from a player preparation perspective and a Covid infections perspective.

Team and staff travel to London will be deferred pending the outcome of that discussion.

More to come.
