I would buy AAdvantage miles at a discount. I think they're worth 1.3 cents. I will let you decide if the miles are a quid pro quo which reduces the tax deductible value of any donation.

This is the best purchase miles offer I've seen in a long time. The bonus is up to 50% and the cap on purchases has been increased. They usually allow purchase of 40,000.

The opportunity to earn 50,000 AAdvantage miles is available through the end of the year. It's complicated. I'll probably earn 2000 miles, but anyone buying miles at under 2 cents a mile can earn a lot more.
