January 6 committee releases a resolution recommending Mark Meadows be held in contempt of Congress after he stopped cooperating with their investigation

The January 6 select committee issued a resolution that recommended Mark Meadows be held in contempt of Congress for not cooperating.
The committee investigating the Capitol riot subpoenaed the former President Donald Trump's chief of staff, but he initially refused to comply. The panel had considered holding him in contempt.

He began giving out information this month. The document released on Sunday describes one of the emails.
According to the committee's contempt resolution, the National Guard was on stand-by to protect pro Trump people.
The lawsuit was filed against Pelosi and the committee investigating the attack. His lawyer told the committee that he wouldn't give a deposition and that he wouldn't cooperate with their investigation.
The subpoenas were too broad and burdensome in his lawsuit.

The House of Representatives is expected to vote this week on holding Meadows in contempt.

A lawyer for the man did not respond to the request for comment.
