La'el Collins was ejected in the fourth quarter of the Cowboys' victory over the Washington Football Team for throwing a punch.

Washington defensive end William Bradley-King pushed the quarterback as he was throwing the ball, and Collins let him know of his displeasure. Collins bull-rushed Bradley-King, who was a practice squad call-up, and threw a punch.

Collins is the second Cowboy to be ejected from a game. After a punt, Joseph got into a fight and was ejected from the game.

A year ago at FedEx Field, the Cowboys were criticized for not standing up for quarterback Andy Dalton, who took a cheap shot from Jon Bostic, who hit the quarterback as he was sliding to the ground. Bostic was thrown out of the game, but no offensive player stood up for him.

Collins made sure that didn't happen when he didn't play last year because of hip surgery.

His timing was hurt by the fact that left tackle Tyron Smith was out of the game with an ankle injury. Smith is questionable to return, so the Cowboys are using Ty Nsekhe at left tackle and Terence Steele at right tackle.

Smith missed three games because of an ankle injury.
