Micah Parsons, Randy Gregory make huge plays to build Cowboys' lead

December 12, 2021.

On third-and-10 from the Dallas 37, Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke tried to throw the ball to his left, but Gregory was able to intercept it and return it for a touchdown.

The Cowboys had the ball at the Washington 41 after he gained another 13 yards on the return. Four plays later, he had his 24th touchdown pass of the season.

It was the 20th pick up for the Cowboys, tying the most they have had this century. They had 20 in 2010. The Cowboys have four more games left.

The Cowboys' Dorance Armstrong recovered the fumbled ball and returned it for a touchdown.

On the next series, heinicke was dropped for a 17-yard sack by Parsons, and Dorance Armstrong returned the ball 37 yards for a touchdown with 29 seconds left in the quarter.

It was the Cowboys' fifth defensive touchdown of the season, most in the league, and it was the 11th sack of the season for Parsons. Since sacks became an official stat in 1982, only one rookies has had a sack in six straight games. In 1999, Jevon Kearse had an eight-game streak.

Tipped it to himself and then picked it up. Randy Gregory did a great play.
