Donald Trump claimed he played Elton John's 'Rocket Man' to North Korea dictator Kim Jong Un, video shows

During the first night of his "History Tour," Donald Trump claimed that he gave a cassette of "Rocket Man" to Kim.

At the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida on Saturday night, Trump said he presented Kim with a cassette and a machine to play it on. He didn't say when it was.

The former president said he made sure the machine wasn't made in South Korea.

Trump first called the North Korean leader "Rocket Man" on his social media accounts. He referred to himself as the UN General Assembly nickname. The former president continued to use the term throughout his presidency.

Trump told the crowd that he told Kim why he chose the nickname. He said he called him Rocketman because he could see that he was sitting on a rocket in Japan.
