Tesla hit with lawsuit alleging disturbing sexual harassment at its Fremont factory

The car of the future may be a retrograde past.

An employee at the factory is suing the company, saying that she was sexually harassed by her supervisor for months even after she reported it. Business Insider reported that the details in the lawsuit are pretty messed up and paint an awful picture of working conditions at the plant.

According to the worker, her manager would call her "'blackenese'" and "hug and massage" her, and would propose to her multiple times. According to the suit, the HR department attesla took months to respond to her complaints, and when it finally did, it did so in a number of ways.

Cloud says that HR took it out on her by sending her home randomly and causing her to lose wages.

We reached out to the company for comment on the lawsuit, but they didn't reply immediately. The press team ofTesla was dissolved in 2020.

This is not the first sexual harassment lawsuit against the company. The engineer who was fired for alleged sexual harassment and pay discrimination was a high-profile case.

"It is impossible to trust anyone after they have behaved in such a way and therefore continued employment is also impossible," aTesla spokesman said of the engineer, AJ Vandermeyden, at the time.

In November of 2021, the factory was the subject of another lawsuit.

Business Insider reported that the lawsuit said that the factory floor was more akin to a construction site or frat house than a cutting-edge company.

There's also Musk himself. Musk made a number of sexist statements to his 66 million followers on the social networking site.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree if the lawsuits are to be believed.
